Hello again, this is Karen writing about the series of five paintings done in 2023 called ‘Snap Crackle and Pop’’. These are collage with acrylic on canvas with ink. The collaged elements such as text, doilies, acrylic peel, tissue paper overlays with hand written text, marks and tracings in ink, old newspaper and disintegrating story books – an old rice krispies box where the title came from. There are six paintings in the series which work nicely as a set.
