Hello and welcome to my Disruption Series, This is my work carried out in c2023 and 2025 using oil paint on canvas for the later paintings, and the two earlier paintings, acrylic with collaged Pokemon comic paper – perfect for making the particular rippled texture I was after. The other two magic marker sketches I include on this page as, although they are just doodles, are related to this series in my mind.
The process of disruption goes on in the layers of the later stages of these paintings – I love the way the paint surface looks after it has been partly rubbed away, partly scratched out, partly overpainted. So, disruption of what went before, not destruction. Tank you for visiting!
