Hello. this is Karen. Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you enjoy looking at my work. These paintings are what I call the Maes Knoll Series. Maes Knoll is an Iron Age hill fort in Somerset, England, located at the eastern end of the Dundry Down ridge, south of the city of Bristol and north of the village of Norton Malreward near the eastern side of Dundry Hill. Sketching on the old Iron Age Tump was a way in for the series. The work developed as a chain of thought that started with Maes Knoll sketches.
